Sonny,

Like I told you before, you are a winner in my eyes regardless of the outcome.  I am proud of you for how you performed from two weeks ago.  You put in the time.  You did the journey.  You walked the talk, and you took the risk and the challenge.  You put yourself on the line, for all to see, and to be in the spotlight.  That's not an easy thing to do.  A lot of people can criticize, but you entered the ring and fought like a champion.  Good for you.

You accomplished two of your dreams - (1) to be at the CIA and (2) to show your mom and family that you made the right decision to follow your own path in wanting to cook.  You also got a chance to come back to the CIA to learn, a gift from the CIA and Mark Erickson, for competing.  A lot of people liked what you did.

This also means that there is a lot more work to be done.  The journey is more important than the destination.  If you keep on this path, you may be back here in two years.  You are young enough, and you will be so much better in every way possible.

You may not have realized it, but you not only represented our company.  You represented Hawaii.  Outstanding job!

Thank you,

Alan
