This coming Wednesday we will feature the KCC students that were on a team that won the American Culinary Federation Regional Championship and represented Hawaii and the West at the National Competition recently held in Las Vegas.  I was there in Las Vegas to eat their food and see them compete.  They may have come in fourth in the nation, but this is a really nice group of students.  They are respectable,  eager to learn,  committed to practicing and making their dishes great, humble, work together nicely, and very likeable.  This Next Generation Farmer Series Dinner featuring the menu by the students is a five-course dinner.  Dessert is not shown here because I was not able to get a final picture .  If you saw what they came with on the first day of Menu Development to what they have now after five practices with me and the crew,  you would be in awe of the progress and the final dish.  I am proud of them.  These are their dishes.  All we did was help them, coach them, critique them, and allow them to come in and practice.  We are supporting the next generation of chefs.
